Mentoring

Sometimes it’s hard to know how to start with Access. You know what you want to do and how you want things to work, but where do you begin? How do you know what tables to make and how they should link together?

What you don’t want is an expensive consultant who will do the work their own way and then swan off into the sunset leaving you struggling. I want to train your people so they feel able to understand and to develop the application further. If you have a logical approach, there’s no reason why you can’t learn how to build things yourself.

After all, that’s how I started out, all those years ago. I got to work with an experienced developer who showed me the ropes and then was at hand when I got stuck. In no time, I was looking after and developing the application myself.

How does this differ from training? I find that Access training courses will teach you how to make a table, but they won’t teach you how to design and make an application. They can’t. Every problem is different, and every application requires you to design the tables that make sense for that application.

So if you have a problem that you think Access can help with, get in touch, I’d like to help.
