About

All my life, I have been interested in how people know things, how to we obtain and retain knowledge; how is information passed on. I am currently indulging a fascination with archaeology, but realising that my interests lie in how technologies spread. I want to know how pre-literate people spread the know-how to make stone tools a certain way, how did they communicate vital skills and make sure the knowledge didn’t die out?

I don’t suppose I’ll ever have these answers, but what I can do is turn this interest in communication into a drive to make sure that businesses and individuals keep their knowledge safe and have the means to pass it on.

I  believe that information is the greatest resource a company possesses, and I delight in finding ways to make people’s jobs easier by teaching a computer to do as much as possible. It gives me a serious case of the warm fuzzies to know that there are no longer 4 people typing the same information into different spreadsheets.. Joined-up thinking, that’s all that’s required.
